New Year, New Venture for Brook House
Happy New Year to all you wonderful people who are taking the time to read this blog! I’m pleased to report that Brook House has emerged from a busy festive time during which we can safely say we mastered the Danish concept of hygge. Our lucky guests were enveloped in a constant glow of coziness and good cheer. Breakfast by candlelight and nightcaps of damson vodka by the woodburner proved to be the perfect antidote to grey, dreary days and the long dark nights of mid winter.
And now my friends, we are through to the other side and already I’m beginning to notice the days lengthening as we move towards the Spring. Hooray! We’re also very excited about the start of the Brook House cookery demonstrations. Following the success of our first demonstration, we’re working on a programme for the coming weeks. We want to spread our new found hygge skills to surround you in an aura of warmth and comfort whilst we inspire and nurture you with our delicious and imaginative menus to take you effortlessly through late winter and early spring entertaining.
Do watch this space for details of forthcoming demonstrations but for now (rather smugly, I’m afraid) please can I share with you some lovely comments from the first demo.
