Brook House has been stylishly furnished and decorated to a very high standard – the epitome of country house chic with a charming mix of old and new. Vanessa Arbuthnott fabrics are combined with more traditional plaids and the subtle use of colour throughout the house makes for an extremely tranquil ambience.
With Becky’s warm hospitality, guests are made to feel very much at home. The large, country kitchen is at the heart of Brook House and with its large oak table and the warmth of the Aga.

Doing our ‘green bit’
Brook House has been renovated to maximise energy efficiency without compromising comfort. The water is heated by solar power and an array of photo-voltaic panels provide electricity. Heating is provided by an air source heat pump which in the colder months is supplemented by the wood burning stoves. Highly insulated and designed to make the most of natural light, Brook House is a warm, airy and wonderfully light home enjoying views of the garden and cider orchards beyond.
Guests can also enjoy the snug sitting room with wood burning stove albeit you may be joined by one of the two Brook House dogs! Whether taking tea or an evening drink, it’s a delightful room to unwind and read the paper, plan an excursion or even have a game of scrabble.
If the weather’s up to it, the garden is lovely for an evening amble or simply a quiet sit down before the sun drops behind the orchards.
